Divorcio

“You ask, “Why?” It is because the Lord is the witness between you and the wife of your youth. You have been unfaithful to her, though she is your partner, the wife of your marriage covenant. Has not the one God made you? You belong to him in body and spirit. And what does the one God seek? Godly offspring. So be on your guard, and do not be unfaithful to the wife of your youth. “The man who hates and divorces his wife,” says the , the God of Israel, “does violence to the one he should protect,” says the Lord Almighty. So be on your guard, and do not be unfaithful.” (Malachi 2: 14-16)

Adultery the Only Reason for Divorce. A woman may be legally divorced from her husband by the laws of the land and yet not divorced in the sight of God and according to the higher law. There is only one sin, which is adultery, which can place the husband or wife in a position where they can be free from the marriage vow in the sight of God. Although the laws of the land may grant a divorce, yet they are husband and wife still in the Bible light, according to the laws of God.

God hates divorce, “There are six things the LORD hates, seven that are detestable to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are quick to rush into evil, a false witness who pours out lies and a person who stirs up conflict in the community” (Proverbs 6:16-19).
Había declarado que el hombre y la mujer deberían estar unidos para siempre, este era su plan eterno para las parejas.

“¿No habéis leído que el que los hizo al principio, varón y hembra los hizo, y dijo: Por esto el hombre dejará padre y madre, y se unirá a su mujer, ¿y los dos serán una sola carne? Así que no son ya más dos, sino una sola carne; por tanto, lo que Dios juntó, no lo separe el hombre.” (Mateo 19: 4-6). La voluntad de Dios es preservar las sociedades y las generaciones futuras preservando los matrimonios. Dios está animando a las parejas a mantener una relación matrimonial, porque este es Su plan para el matrimonio desde la creación. Cuando el pecado entró en el mundo, esta relación fue efectuada por él. Pero enfrentemos el hecho de que hoy en día, ninguna pareja casada vive sin experimentar fricciones o malentendidos en el matrimonio, pero el divorcio no es la solución. Dios hizo el matrimonio al principio como un vínculo entre el hombre y la esposa, es un pacto eterno, que no debe romperse hasta la muerte. La Biblia enseña que el esposo y la esposa se convierten en “una sola carne” y están “unidos”. La Biblia enseña: “Desde que Dios hizo el matrimonio, que nadie lo rompa."

God’s will is to preserve societies and future generations by preserving of marriages. God is encouraging couples to sustain marriage relationship, for this is His plan for marriage from creation. When sin entered the world this relationship was effected by it.

But let us face the fact today, no married couple lives without experiencing friction or misunderstanding in marriage, but divorce is not the solution. God made marriage in the beginning as a bond between man and wife, it is an eternal covenant, that should not be broken till death. The Bible teaches that husband and wife become “one flesh” and they are “joined together.” The Bible teaches, “Since God made marriage, let no man break it”.
