Oración

“Y cuando ores, no seas como los hipócritas; porque ellos aman el orar en pie en las sinagogas y en las esquinas de las calles, para ser vistos de los hombres; de cierto os digo que ya tienen su recompensa. Mas tú, cuando ores, entra en tu aposento, y cerrada la puerta, ora a tu Padre que está en secreto; y tu Padre que ve en lo secreto te recompensará en público. Y orando, no uséis vanas repeticiones, como los gentiles, que piensan que por su palabrería serán oídos. No os hagáis, pues, semejantes a ellos; porque vuestro Padre sabe de qué cosas tenéis necesidad, antes que vosotros le pidáis.” (Mateo 6: 5-8)

¿Cómo enseñó Isa a Sus discípulos a orar?
In Matthew 6:9-13, Jesus teaches us how to pray Allah’s prayer. This prayer is not meant to substitute for our personal prayer time with Allah, nor is it a transcript to be recited, but rather, it is a prayer to Allah to seek His will and guidance in our lives. The message bears much more weight than the way the words are spoken.
When you pray, don’t be like the hypocrites who love to pray publicly on street corners and in the synagogues where everyone can see them. I tell you the truth, that is all the reward they will ever get.  But when you pray, go away by yourself, shut the door behind you, and pray to your Father in private. Then your Father, who sees everything, will reward you.
“When you pray, don’t babble on and on as the Gentiles do. They think their prayers are answered merely by repeating their words again and again.  Don’t be like them, for your Father knows exactly what you need even before you ask him! Pray like this:
Our Father in heaven,
may your name be kept holy.
May your Kingdom come soon.
May your will be done on earth,
as it is in heaven.
Give us today the food we need,[a] and forgive us our sins,
as we have forgiven those who sin against us.
And don’t let us yield to temptation,[b] but rescue us from the evil one.
¿Nos escucha realmente Isa si lo llamamos de todo corazón?
Ever since we were children, we always wanted a best friend that can be with us when we need them to listen to us, advise us, and to love us. Isa Al Masih is the real life best friend that we have always desired. More importantly, His relationship with us always existed! It is our lack of knowing Him or our disconnect that contributes to a less than close relationship. But He even said Himself that He will never turn away those that come to Him.
“All those the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never drive away.” (Injil, John 6:37)
Those are the words of Jesus Himself. All we have to do is believe, and Allah does the rest.
¿Cómo podemos conocer a Alá a nivel personal?
In order to have a personal relationship with our Creator, we should understand who Jesus is. Jesus is both in the Quran and the Bible, two different and yet similar accounts but both descriptions are God inspired, and, therefore, looking into the Bible to understand Jesus reveals to us a more illustrative picture of Allah.

The best way to know Allah on a personal level is to study the life of Isa Al Masih and identify all of the ways He is both Jesus the human and Jesus the One with God.

¿Qué tan importante es la oración?
Para establecer una relación con Alá, la oración es absolutamente esencial. A menudo olvidamos que pasar tiempo con Dios requiere tanto esfuerzo como nosotros para pasar tiempo con nuestra familia y amigos. Además, es la relación más importante para cuidar. No se supone que sea un momento para recitar una oración específica, sino una oración personal en la que nos consagramos totalmente a Alá. La oración no es solo un momento para pedir lo que queremos, y orar cuando queremos algo no debe ser la única vez que oramos. Isa Al Masih nos dice: "Mas buscad primeramente el reino de Dios y su justicia, y todas estas cosas os serán añadidas.” (Mateo 6:33). Muchas veces, oramos por cosas en nuestras vidas, ya sea un nuevo trabajo, un cónyuge, curación, ayuda financiera, tal vez incluso un nuevo cachorro. Cualquiera sea la razón, buscar a Alá por querer algo, no es la única razón para ir a Él. Primero vamos a Él, simplemente buscándolo, Su presencia, Su guía, y todo será agregado a nosotros. Alá conoce nuestros corazones, Él conoce nuestras circunstancias, Él sabe cuándo hemos hecho algo malo, incluso si no nos arrepentimos. Pero es a través del desarrollo de una relación con Él que todas las cosas que deseamos comienzan a funcionar, a veces no de acuerdo con cómo las vemos, sino a cómo ÉL lo ve adecuado. Un pensamiento para reflexionar: ¿qué pasaría si tus amigos y familiares solo vinieran a ti para tener algo? ¿Y si esa era la única vez que te hablaban, se tomaban el tiempo de su día? ¿Cómo te sentirías? Ahora, imagine a Alá escuchando tantas peticiones, pero tan pocos intentos de construir una relación con Él.

Prayer is not just a time to ask for what we want, and praying when we want something should not be the only time we pray .We are told by Isa Al Masih, “Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. ” (Matthew 6:33)

Often times, we pray for things in our lives, be it a new job, a spouse, healing, financial help, maybe even a new puppy. Whatever the reason, seeking Allah because we want something is not the sole reason to go to Him. We go to Him first, simply seeking Him, His presence, His guidance, and everything will be added to us.

Allah knows our hearts, He knows our circumstances, He knows when we have  done wrong even if we don’t repent. But it is through developing a relationship with Him that all of the things we desire begin to work out, sometimes not according to how we see them, but how HE sees fit.

A thought to ponder: What if your friends and family only ever came to you to ask something from you. What if that was the only time they took out of their day to speak to you? How would you feel? Now imagine Allah hearing so many requests but so few attempts to build a relationship with Him.
